last minute mayhem!
This was the scariest assignment ive ever done. Mainly cus evritin my group did became SO LAST MINUTE! and problems after problems kept coming up. Submission was monday morning, 8am. Basically we had to do a video presentation on a building, my group chose palace of the golden horses. Here were the probs n what we did to counter attack em:
1.We had to go there three times to finally get the interview n tour frm the building specialist guy cause they kept forgetting eventhough we made appointmentsss! ( we just kept goin till we finally got noticed)
2. When we finally got the interview, aisyah tried to piece the movie together using i movie in her mac, but the entire video in the camera went corrupt n we lost the interview…
( aisyah asked her ex to act like a guest being interviewed and WOW he CAN ACT ..scripts n answers were prepared beforehand of course making it a great interview)
3.On sunday NIGHT, aisyah passed me the videos she pieced together so that i can put in the subtitles (she stayed up for 2 days + d). when i went home n plug the thumbdrive n the whole thumbdrive was corrupted n culdnt be read by my laptop AND main comp..
I had to last minute stay overnite at her place in shah alam =O to use her mac which im totally unfamiliar wif. Just by copying n pasting the subtitles frm a document i typed em out in days before, it took me around 10pm to 4 am!!! Then we stayed up till 5.30am to choose the background songs..
4. The mac had prob wif exporting video in avi format, making the quality horrendous. So it wus saved in mpeg which of course cnt be played in microsoft (teacher’s comp). Her internet connection had a prob so we culdnt download a video converter/ vlc player.
I disturbed wayne our coll classmate by calling him during midnite n 6.50 am to ask him to help convert for us.. we both finally met up in coll around 7.50 and converted the video! by the time we burned the video into the cd, the lecturer just walked in (PHEW)
5. The cd sticker we sticked was a lil out of position so we adjusted it abit causing the silver layer of the cd to peel off… COULDNT PLAY NOW!
i ran all the way down to the shop to buy blank cds.
6. We forgot to print out the assesment form..
borrowed jason’s thumbdrive containing it, ran all the way down to printing shop n printed it!
7. OUr group being group 1 was first to present. WE made it at the very last second PHEW THANK GOD!!
IT wus a miracle dat we completed the assignment at the very last second and the class + lecturer loved it. Yay aisyah’s video + photography skills n good recording sound system on mac comp!I did the subtitles quite badly though, sumtimes when the subtitles appear still got the words (click to enter subtiltes) woops i forgot to erase those lol.
